She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Trainer and Bertha Trainer; her husband Donald Duane Cook; and her siblings, Tom, Juanita and Elana.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Cook (Marion), Brian Cook (Tammy), Charles Cook (Debra) and Diana Sisson (C. R.); her grandchildren, Abigail Cook Jacob, Tyler Cook (Ellie), Timothy Cook (Savannah) and Jamie Cook Wilson (Josh); her great grandchild Eva Jacob; and her grandchildren, Warren, George, Lucas Cook, Gabriel, Lachlan, Everett Wilson and Evie Arrowood Cook. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donation be made in her name to her church, New Century Community Church.
