Ethel Marie Dickerson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 26, 2026, at the age of 98, Ethel Marie Dickerson of Vinton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John W. Dickerson, Jr.; her daughter Sharon Patsell; her siblings, James, Dorothy, Raymond, Louise and Gertrude; and her grandson Shane.

She is survived by: her son Trey Dickerson (Debbie); her siblings, Clarence, Mable and Bea; her grandchildren, Amy (Dillon), Stacie and Jason; and her great grandchildren, Dillon, Faith, Alana, Brooke and Emma. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Ethel's memory to the food pantry at Vinton Baptist Church.

She created many beautiful things during her time on this earth. My family and I will greatly miss her along with many, many others.
