He was predeceased by: his daughter Laura Lynn Barber; his brothers, Darryle "Joe" and Larry Donald; his former wife Tammy Annette Donald; and his parents, Hugh Ray and Alma Lois Pendleton Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Candy M. Donald; his children, Lisa Donald, Michael Puckett (Mallory), Ryan Puckett (Lina) and Aaron Puckett (Samantha); his grandchildren, Landon, Ryan, Kylee, Micah, Ella, Junior, Paisley and Stephanie; and his siblings, Douglas, Linda and Carol.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Angels of Assisi or the Roanoke Valley SPCA in his memory.
