She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Mayhew and Myrtle Mayhew; her husband Dr. H. R. "Preacher" Thompson; her daughter Barbara Faye Thompson; and her daughter-in-law Wanda Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Thompson (Judy), Belinda Gail Lamberth (Larry) and Sandra Hammed (Daniel); and her close friend Don. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
