He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Jenkins Boitnott; his parents, James L. Boitnott and Birdie Huffman Boitnott; and his siblings, Wayne and Virginia.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Boitnott, Vicky Smith (Ken) and Greg Boitnott (Angie); his grandchildren, Joshua Powell, Benjamin Powell, Cydney McGhee, Crystal Mattson and Elena Boitnott; and his great grandchildren, Austin Powell, Chaemen Powell, Kellen Kennedy McGhee, Cole Mattson and Kinsley Mattson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1401 Mountain View Rd, Vinton, VA 24179).
