He is survived by: his daughter Laura Boone (Chris); his grandson Brandon Mitchem; his nephews, Cliff Jones (Stan) and Justin English (Cherie); and his niece Cindy Brizendine (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA, a cause close to Ray's heart and where he and Becky found both of their beloved fur babies.
