He was predeceased by: his father James E. Poage; and his sister Ina Mae Clounch. He is survived by: his mother Jeanette Graham Malashevich of Covington; his son James Poage of Roanoke; and his nephew Benjamin Dressler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Arritt Funeral Home (1102 S Highland Ave, Covington, VA 24426). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Alleghany Memorial Park (7008 Winterberry Ave, Covington, VA 24426).
