He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Richardson and Georgia Bowman Richardson; and his sister Ella Spencer. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Richardson (Kathy) of Mechanicsville, VA, Carl Richardson (Sharon) of Hillsborough, NC and Darlene S. Richardson of Chesterfield, VA; his siblings, Montrose Martin of Hudson, NC and David Richardson of Collinsville, VA; and his grandchildren, Trina Abell, Lauren Laws, Stephen Richardson, Jamie Richardson, Jennifer Richardson and David Richardson. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
