Jeff Rodgers wrote a sympathy message

“Profound sympathy to Ammon's family and thousands of his friends. He is a true legend of Beach Music who's equal we will not see. Ammon many times people who stop me and say " Are you Ammon Tharp?" to which I would always reply, "No, there is only one Ammon Tharp." Go with God brother, play some wonderful music with William, Freddie, and all the rest of the guys. RIP my friend.”
