With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara J. Peterson (Virginia Beach, Virginia), born in Oxford, Nebraska, who passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Bray and Hazel Bray; her husband James A. Peterson; and her sister Jackie Bray. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Peterson, Alan L. Peterson and Brian K. Peterson; her grandchildren, Allison Peterson, Chris Peterson, Shelby Peterson (Diego), Tyler Peterson and Kaleb Peterson; and her sister Joyce Bray. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center.
