He is survived by: his daughter Barrita Coston-Jones; his son-in-law Michael Jones II of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, Li'a Golden-Irby (D'Angelo), Nia Golden, Tia Golden, Ryan Cornick, Jr., Michael Jones of Virginia Beach, Taran Jones of Virginia Beach and Aaliyah Jones of Virginia Beach; his siblings, Terry Tyler (Pauline) of Virginia Beach, Jerry Coston of Virginia Beach, Sandy Magee (Sedrick) of Sumrall, Mississippi, Nikki Wheaton of Virginia Beach, Cindy Williams (Robert) of Virginia Beach, Reverend Cynthia Jones (Carvin) of Virginia Beach, Icarress Gardner of Virginia Beach, Vivian Diane Johnson (William) of Virginia Beach and Patrice Vaughn of Virginia Beach; and his cousin Michelle Cason. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Beach Funeral & Cremation Services (4456 Bonney Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morning Star Baptist Church (4780 First Ct Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455). A burial was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Grove Memorial Park (3445 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456).
