He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubie Wilson Brunson and Pauline Grace Brunson; his stepmother Gladys Brunson; and his son Matthew Brunson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Brunson; his daughter Jenn Brunson; his sister Alvina Pitches (Michael); and his stepdaughters, Kristin Colonna (Kristen Jagger) and Lauren Wrenn (Elliott).

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Bruce's memory - Midwest Streams.
