He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Upton, Jr. and Madlyn E. Upton; and his son Kirk E. Upton. He is survived by: his daughter Marianne Upton Cagampang (Larry); his granddaughter Bernadette Cagampang of Hawaii; his close friend Linda Dugan; his adoptive daughter Hannah Dugan; and his brother Thomas W. Upton (Becky) of Verona, VA.
