He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hayes; his children, Susan Heafner (David) and Charles Bradley Hayes (Stacy); his grandchildren, David Heafner Jr., Kelsey Newton (Kenny), Dylan Hayes (Abby), Brooke Hayes and Colby Hayes; his great grandchildren, Weston Newton, Brock Newton and David Heafner III; his brother Jerry Hayes (Evelyn); and his caregiver Pat Chamnes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
