He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Casius and Paul Joseph Starbranch; his former wife Ellen Erickson Starbranck; his daughter Karen Starbranch Blitch; his cousin Ernest Wiedemann; and his brother Paul Starbranch, Jr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Helen Blade (Ted), John Starbranch (Ruth), Marion Blade (Gordon), Edna Carlson (William) and Jean Wyrick (Clair); his wife Linda Hobbs Starbranch; his sister Alice Robbins (Linda Hobbs Starbranch); his son-in-law Rev. David Blitch; and his grandchildren, Kristin Blitch (Jason Leman), Daniel Andrew Blitch and Rebekah Blitch Rodriquez (Elliot). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (1489 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451).
