He was predeceased by: his siblings, Moses, Queen Victoria Basnight, David Basnight, Jerry Basnight, Enoch Basnight, Jessie Lee Basnight, Evelyn Sikes, Hildria Wilson, Catherine Holley and Hattie Basnight; his daughter Alma Faye Basnight; and his daughter-in-law Karen Taylor Basnight.
He is survived by: his sibling Charliewas; his wife Cora L. Basnight; his sons, Charles Basnight (Yalonda) and Stephon (Kimberly); his stepdaughter Queen Fitzhugh (Marshall); his son Ricky Austin (Laverne); his grandchildren, Tiffany DeRamus, Jessica Howard (Monterio) and ChristianBasnight; and his great grandchildren, Jasmyn DeRamus and Victoria Howard. He is also survived by nephews, loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 3200 Head River Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23457. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
