He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carney and Behula Carney (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Maxwell; his son Patrick (Virginia Beach); his grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Bevins; his sister Virginia Sachs (John) of Columbia City; and his brother-in-law Bob Maxwell (Nanette). He is also survived by numerous nieces/nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wycliffe Presbyterian Church and Dozoretz Hospice Housse of Hampton Roads.
