He was predeceased by: his daughter Kara Cruz Turnipseed; his parents, Anthony Cruz and Ernestine Cruz; his sister Frances Martinez; and his son-in-law Daniel Turnipseed.
He is survived by: his daughter Alexandra E. Cruz; his grandchildren, Nathan Turnipseed, Joseph Turnipseed and Elizabeth "Summer" Rousseau; and his siblings, Barbara Cruz, Patricia Cruz, Lisa Cruz and Phillip Cruz (Angie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
