He is survived by: his children, David Allen DeCook (Marcia), Terrile Lee Burt (Clifford) and Anthony Scott DeCook (Lisa); his stepchildren, Rebecca Wellborn (Edward), Wanda Wilson (Robert), Steven Cover (Dale), Dawn Cover, Thad James and Michael Cover; and his grandchildren, Carter Ann DeCook, Meagan M. DeCook, Morgan L. DeCook, Elizabeth Wynegar, Brittany Wiggins, Kristin Cover, Sidney Russell, Colter Chambers, Devon Chambers, Courtney Cover, Sierra Arce, Amber Bordelon and Heather George.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Williams Funeral Home (4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Nimmo United Methodist Church Cemetery (2040 Nimmo Church Ln, Virginia Beach, VA 23456).
