He is survived by: his children, Rodney Jones, Sr. (Kim) of Portsmouth, David "DJ" Walker of Virginia Beach and Davida Chapman (Keith) of Chesapeake; his siblings, Thomas Pierce of Newport News, VA and Gail "Jill" Payne of Newport News; his half-siblings, Donald Maynard of Maryland, David Maynard of Maryland, Damon Maynard (Yonka) of St. Croix, Amando Virata (Mimmie) of Pennsylvania, Jillian Wyand (Matthew) of West Virginia, Kelly Virata-Harvey (Victor) of Maryland, Shereese Maynard of Maryland, Antoinette Maynard of Maryland and Stacey Maynard of Maryland; his stepmother Barbara "Bobbie" Hammell-Maynard of West Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Skylar Eure of Chesapeake and Avery Chapman of Chesapeake. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
