She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jones and Ethel Jones; her husband Herman Valentine Sr.; her sons, Herman Valentine, Jr. and Bryce Valentine; her daughter-in-law Suzette Valentine; and her grandchildren, Natalie, Joshua, Justin, Eddie and Santiago.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home-Maestas Chapel (1801 Baltic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church (225 Hatton St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). An entombment was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at the Princess Anne Memorial Park.
