She was predeceased by: her parents, William Greenwell and Eva Greenwell; her husband Albert R. Ellis, Sr.; her son-in-law Harold Smith; and her sisters, Geneva Hoffhiemer, Lucy Foster and Anne Greenwell.

She is survived by: her children, Marianne E. Smith, Albert R. Ellis, Jr. (Henri) and William "Frank" Ellis; and her brother William "Bill" Greenwell (Lee). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
