Yates Sr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, who passed away on December 18, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Yates, Sr. and Jennie Trobough Yates; his wives, Joan Snead Yates and Norma Osborne Yates; and his brother Glenn Yates, Jr. (Fred).

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Weinberg (Andrew) of Oviedo, FL, Fred Yates, Jr. of Virginia Beach and Kimberly Millering of Virginia Beach; and his grandchildren, Mandy Conner, Ryan Yates, Ashley Moss and Emma Guess.
