With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria B. Holmes (Virginia Beach, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Linscott; her husband David Wendell Holmes; and her son David Linscott Holmes. She is survived by: her children, James Thomas Holmes, Christine Holmes Armstrong and Robert Wendell Holmes; her grandchildren, Carleigh Spencer Armstrong, Creighton John Armstrong Jr., James Thomas Holmes Jr., Christian James Armstrong and Corinne Paige Armstrong; and her sister Caroline Shives. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel (1110 N Great Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454).
