He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Sutton, Sr. and Dorothy Thrasher Sutton; and his brother James T. Sutton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Harris Sutton; his children, Matthew Sutton (Dana), Adam Sutton (Julia) and Carrie Evans (Brad); his grandchildren, Skylar, Campbell, Charlotte, Bryce, Elaina, Ashby and Harrison; and his siblings, J. Randolph Sutton and Anne Wilson.
