He is survived by: his mother Nancy Ruth Durham Birtell; his wife Susan Leigh Froman Birtell; his daughters, Shelby Holley (Raymond) of Moyock, NC and Casey Birtell of Moyock, NC; his siblings, Tammy Birtell of Rustburg, VA, Edward Birtell, Jr. (Danielle) of Goldsboro, PA, Scotty Birtell (Christina) of Florence, SC and Daniel Birtell (LeeAnn) of Rustburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Gracie, Emma, Jayden and Brayden. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
