With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene N. Gewet in Virginia Beach, Virginia, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Needham and Beatrice Needham. She is survived by: her husband Frank; her children, Joli Martin (Jeff), Jeff Gewet, Jayme Sutcliffe (Lystre) and Jorene Williams; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Gewet, Jr., Keith Dasher (Ann), Michael Martin (Carly), Lily Williams, Ella Williams and Jordan Gewet; and her great grandchildren, Jayme Grace Gewet, Xavier Dasher and Oliver Dasher.
Irene was a big proponent for our country's veterans and so in lieu of flowers, please donate to either the Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnels to Towers Project, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
