He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewis and Nellie Swanner Shipp; and his siblings, Bertha Bartel, John L. "Tiny" Shipp, Jr. and Raymond Shipp.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ashie Shipp, Archie Shipp (Patsy), Joyce Turner, Doris Hale and Edie VanNostrand (Horace). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Creeds Church of Christ (5500 Morris Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23457). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church Cemetery (4080 Charity Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23457).
