He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy G. Jones and Sarah Ferebee Jones; and his sister Dianne Deloris Ferebee. He is survived by: his siblings, Gloria Singleton, Dorothy Blount, Juanita Owens (Robert), Sarah Ferebee, Phyllis Winslow (Charles), Roy Ferebee (Judith), Joyce Lang (Barry), Arlene Ferebee and Ronnie Ferebee (Diana); his stepdaughter Shanita Walker; and his stepgrandchildren, Corita Lambert, Corisha Lambert and Semaiah Sabir. He is also survived by thirteen nieces, nine nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
