We are sad to announce that, on August 21, 2022, at the age of 92, Jane Alger Simmons (Virginia Beach, Virginia), born in Hinton, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Rev. Francis Henry Strieby; her brother Francis Henry "Buddy" Strieby, Jr.; and her husbands, Ross Samuel Alger and Robert Alvin Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Eric Drawbaugh Alger, Gene Franklin Alger (Kerrie Huber), Todd Hillman Alger and Beth Alger Foster (William Irving Foster III); and her grandchildren, Andrew Scott Alger, Matthew Ryan Alger (Samantha), Samantha Brinn Foster (Tyler), Aaron West Foster (Fredrika) and William Barrett Foster.
