He is survived by: his children, Mark Via of Virginia Beach, Jo Aiken (James) of Virginia Beach, Karen Finster of Virginia Beach, Patricia Via Cook (Desmond Cook) of Virginia Beach and James Via (Jaime) of Worthington, OH; his sister Nancy Via Hall; his sisters-in-law, Judy Berry Via and Mary Nicely; his grandchildren, Megan O'Hara Goodwin, Chelsea Aiken Harrell, Olivia Aiken, Rachel Cook Luciani, Daniel Cook, Jonathan Via and Jordan Via; and his great grandchildren, Adam Goodwin and Wyatt Harrell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
