With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Alice West (Virginia Beach, Virginia), born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on February 6, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Frank and Marie Ann Poelk Frank; her husband Warren R. West; her granddaughter Ellen Pruitt; and her siblings, Rosemarie O'Grady, Elaine Boldt, Dianne Frank, Donald Frank and James Frank.
She is survived by: her children, Warren (Edna) of Anchorage, AL, Paul, Mary, Donald, Carol of Virginia Beach, Karen Pruitt (Mike) of Mineral Wells, TX, Mark of Hartwell, GA, Rosemarie Funkhouser (Richard) of Edinburg, VA and David of Hertford, NC.; and her siblings, Robert Frank, Judith Donner and Marian Nadon. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
