It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Bernard Champeau (Virginia Beach, Virginia), who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennae Champeau and Jayna Champeau; and his children-in-law, Amy Hasenauer and George "Sonny" Washburn IV. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

“John was a good friend from when we met at PC through our days at the Fall Classic. As roomies at both Whig Street and the Kingfisher, we often grumbled about our bad legs and the rituals as we prepared for another round of golf. Little did I know that when he left Dennis for Virginia Beach in September 2022 we would not meet again in this world. John was a patriot and a loyal PC alumnus. We miss you buddy.”
