He is survived by: his daughter Anne Johnston; his daughter-in-law Monica Campbell; his grandchildren, Aleasha Perun (Nick), John Angus Campbell (Jenna), Patrick Johnston, Hannah Campbell and Dr. Stephen Johnston; his great grandchildren, John McCartney Campbell II, Paisley Perun and Violet Campbell; and his sisters, Moira Park and Eileen Dinnie. He is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel (3445 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Lung Cancer Society in John's memory.
