He was predeceased by: his parents, James Donald and Margaret Gannon Gawne; his siblings, James D. Gawne (Anne), Joseph Gawne and Loretta Stahl; and his pet Cinnamon.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Linn Gawne; his children, John Gawne, Jr. (Megan), Sarah Maroon (Samuel), Mary Carolino (Patrick), Kathleen McClung, Timothy Gawne (Melissa), Patrick Gawne (Gina) and Meghan Gawne; his grandchildren, Hayleigh Hunter, Amanda Gawne, Sydney Gawne, Samuel Maroon II, Grace Maroon, Austin Carolino, Eleanor Carolino, Drew McClung (Emma), Mara McClung, Alana McClung, Colton McClung, Kaelyn Gawne, Aria Gawne, Sydney Linn Gawne, Ronan Gawne and Ryan Gawne; his great grandchildren, Lana Hamilton, Emmett Hamilton, Lily Maroon and Baby McClung; his siblings, Margaret Gawne-Mark (Craig), Joan Bowers (Bruce) and Brian Gawne (Janice); and his pets, Sage and Guinness.
