She was predeceased by: her parents, William Griggs Dowdy and Eunice Grandy Dowdy; and her husband William "Billy" Thomas Griggs, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Wendy Rogers (Ron) of Forest, VA, Susie Kovacs (James) of Virginia Beach, VA, Sandra Lock of Virginia Beach, VA, Kim Fox (Jimmy Welch) of Virginia Beach, VA, William Griggs (Terri) of San Jose, CA and Charles Griggs (Cheryl) of Virginia Beach, VA; and her caregiver Audrey Galloway. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
