Judith Lynn Van Zant Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Lynn Van Zant (Virginia Beach, Virginia), born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Black and Marjorie Black (Pratt); her brother Robert Black; and her husband David Van Zant. She is survived by: her daughters, Alisa Shannon, Cindee Hansen (Bruce) and Kim Bannon (David); and her grandchildren, Haley (Will), Carlie (Sloba), Cameron, Tyler and Libby. She is also survived by five beautiful great grandchildren, her nephew, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home (5033 Rouse Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A reception will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Amyloidosis Research Fund with Boston University School of Medicine, continuing Judy's legacy of service by contributing to vital research and support.
