He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fulton Jones and Mary "Mamie" Catherine Reich Jones; his wife Leona Marie Butkewich Jones; his brothers, James David Jones, Edward Karl Jones and Frank Ronald Jones; his son James Randall "Randy" Jones; and his son-in-law Anthony "Tony" John Suchy, Jr. (Keith).
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Jones (Melissa) and Becky Jones Suchy; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Grace and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Timothy (Courtney), Libby, Chase, Joe and Chloe (Seth); his great great grandchild Alice; and his sister-in-law Mary Marlene Routzahn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Old Donation Episcopal Church (4449 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455).
