We are sad to announce that, on October 19, 2025, at the age of 82, Marcella Ruth Chartrand (Virginia Beach, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Podpierka and Mary Podpierka; her sister Lori Geisinger; her daughter Jean Eliza (Beth); her significant other James Chartrand; her daughter Beth (Phil); her stepson Matt (Cindy); her grandchildren, Connor, Ethan, Emily, Luke, Alyssa and Haley; her sister Mary Lou; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara, Donna and Betty.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
