He was predeceased by: his son Raymond Hodgin; his grandson Justin Hodgin; his siblings, Drewry Hodgin and Barbara Hodgin; his stepson William Pruetzel; his stepgrandchild Noel Hodgin; and his parents, Olivia Mark and Mark Hodgin Sr. Mark.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Acorn Hodgin; his children, Kathy LaPine (Kenny), Wayne Hodgin, Sheila Allen (Rock) and David Pruetzel; and his sisters, Caroline Stone and Marilyn Parris (Charles). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home (5033 Rouse Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
