She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Preston Johnson, Sr. and Marian Janiece Rawls Johnson; and her brothers, Guy Johnson, Jr. and Benjamin Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Michael Franks, Sr.; her sons, Michael Franks, Jr. (Teresa) and Frederick Franks (Gina); her sister Paulette Johnson Templeton (Bobby T.); her brother-in-law Jerry Franks; her grandchildren, Summer, Connor, Mikaela, Jacob and Joshua Franks; and her nieces and nephews, John Humphries (Denise), Daniel Humphries (Faith), Angela Humphries Stokes, Rebecca Franks Marsh and Rose Marie Johnson Stephens. She is also survived by 11 loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kings Grant Baptist Church (873 Little Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
