She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul L. Penfield, Sr. and Charlotte W. Gilman Penfield; her husband D. Tyner Brown; and her siblings, Eleanor Spencer and Paul Penfield Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Paul Brown (Carol Brown) and Valerie Brown Mertz (Denny Mertz); and her grandsons, Spencer Brown (Holly Reed) and David Brown (Tania K. Brown).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Canterbury (3100 Shore Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23451).
