She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Sunshine and Judith Sunshine; her brother Harry Sunshine; and her husband Dr. Warren Karesh. She is survived by: her children, Michael Karesh (Gayla Bassham) and Sara Karesh Coxe (David); and her grandchildren, Lena, Benton, Judah Karesh and Sunny Coxe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center (https://www.virginiaaquarium.com) or the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater.
