Nancy S. Vakos Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy S. Vakos (Virginia Beach, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy S. Vakos to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Schmidt and Adele H. Scmidt; and her husband George W. Vakos Sr.. She is survived by: her sister Janice Martini; her daughter Kimberly A. Vakos (Duran Canakci); her stepsons, George W. Vakos Jr. (Susan), Charles J. Vakos (Kimberly) and Andrew W. Vakos (Ann); her son Dwight Penny (Tracey); and her grandchildren, Christine Loney (Austin), Nicole Pettigrew (Corey), Julie Lamont, Drew Vakos, Samantha Ockert (Roland), Gabi Hanger (Cory), Ciara Vakos, CJ Vakos, Caleb Vakos, Madisan Muth (Brian), Geordan Vakos (Joe Ostrander), Magnolia, Clementine Loney, Charles and Dorothy Pettigrew.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laskin Road Chapel (2002 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM.
