He was predeceased by: his wife Shigeko Yakoshiji Cheek; his parents, Dean Cheek and Nelle Cheek; and his daughter Sandra Midgette. He is survived by: his son Vincent Cheek (Penny Stevens); and his grandchildren, Kai, Mia Cheek, Zachary, Nathan and Ian Midgette.
