He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edward Mladick and Gladys Castens; and his son Richard Mladick. He is survived by: his wife Elly Mladick; his daughter Kristen M. Randolph; his children-in-law, Gray Randolph, Jennifer Mladick and Lisa Brite; and his grandchildren, Ellie Randolph, Gray Randolph, Lexy Mladick, Dylan Mladick, Gage Mladick and Beckett Mladick.

He was designated an Advanced Clinical Fellow by the American Cancer Society and completed the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons Hand Course.
