He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor A. Guy and Eunice Wild; his wife Clara Guy (Cistola); his son Richard D. "Richie" Guy, Jr.; and his brothers, Victor A. Guy, Jr., Albert E. Guy and Arthur "Pete" Guy.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Edwards (Richard R. Edwards) of Newport News, VA and David S. Guy (Natalie G. Guy) of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, Ricky Edwards (Laura), Ryan Edwards (Chelsea), Rachel Brannaman (Ben), Olivia and Lauren Guy; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Riley Brannaman; and his sister Eunice Silvetti (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
