He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Patnaude and Helen Patnaude (Pomfret); his stepfather Donald W. Bittinger; and his sister Sandra E. Patnaude Bulger. He is survived by: his brother Frank Patnaude (Ann); and his nieces and nephews, Debra Bulger, Lisa Messier (Bob), Frank Patnaude (Kaya) and Jay Patnaude (Gail). He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-great-nieces and nephews.
