He is survived by: his children, Michael John Hess of Chesapeake, VA, Kathleen, Claude Anderson (Woody) of Norfolk, VA and Sarah (Vytis Simaitis); his grandchildren, Alexander, Ethan Simaitis, Alissa and Trent Anderson; and his pet Shiloh. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
