She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gutshall and Hazel Woods Gutshall; her husband Walton T. Peters, Jr. (Wally); her son Norman Peters; and her siblings, Hunter, Hartzel, Harlan Gutshall and Darlie King.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Burke of Cocoa Beach, FL; her sisters, Arlene Peters of Mechanicsville, VA and Herthel Chestnut of Verona, VA; her daughter-in-law Denise Peters of Jarvisburg, NC; and her grandchildren, Michael Peters and Chrissy Peters Gowitzka. She is also survived by great-granddaughter; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nelsen Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231).
